Some of us came earlier, some of us were touring Europe beforehand, most of us were leaving St. John's with our Kapitan (captain), Dr. John.
Unfortunately, the flight that was supposed to bring the huge delegation to Berlin was cancelled, and left stranded in Heathrow, London. Those of us who were already in Berlin decided to meet up, check-in, and just simply get to know each other until the rest came.
When they all finally came (one by one), we all went out for dinner together, got some ice cream, and went back to our hostel. Overall, today wasn't the most exciting day, as everyone was tired, and more than half us are jet lagged. Our field school will truly begin tomorrow. Until then!
